The launch of several new apps like Disney+ and Peacock TV has resulted in monthly active users increasing by 78% since 2018 which was before these apps had been launched. Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu are the most popular apps based on Monthly Active Users, and while their growth has stayed steady they are also facing a lot more competition.
It seems like every major company is trying to start a streaming service of their very own, but in spite of the fact that this is the case there are some pre-existing platforms that are making headway as well. YouTube has been doubling down on its status as a hub for content creators and is trying to position itself as a free source of content that people can turn to if they don’t want to use any kinds of paid services with all things having been considered and taken into account.
